These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Mentoire, the website at mentoire.com and its associated apps and services (the "Service"). Mentoire is operated by MS Holdings ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Mentoire is

Mentoire provides AI-generated conversation and reflection inspired by philosophical and wisdom traditions. It is a tool for thought and self-reflection. It is not therapy, counselling, medical, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis or may harm yourself or others, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services immediately.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, reverse-engineer it, access it through unauthorised means, use it for unlawful purposes, or submit content that is illegal or infringes others' rights. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Membership, billing & renewal

• Mentoire offers a free tier and a paid Premium membership, billed monthly or annually.
• Current prices are shown on the membership page (e.g. ₹899/month or ₹6,999/year in India; $11.99/month or $89/year elsewhere). Prices may change; any change applies to future billing periods.
• Premium is a recurring subscription: it renews automatically at the end of each billing period using your saved payment method, processed securely by our payment partner Razorpay, until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep Premium access until the end of the current paid period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the messages you write. You grant Mentoire a limited licence to process them in order to operate the Service (for example, to generate responses and remember context). We do not sell your conversations. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, branding, and software are owned by Mentoire and protected by applicable law. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative works from the Service without permission.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. AI responses may be inaccurate or inappropriate and should not be relied upon as fact or professional advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mentoire is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months.

8. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
